It is now offered with a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine that continues to put out 155PS of power and 360Nm of torque. The SUV is now offered only with a 6-speed MT gearbox and a 2WD option. The automatic and AWD (all-wheel-drive) variants have been discontinued.

The XUV500 is offered with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6-way adjustable driver seat, a sunroof, and cruise control. Standard safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The capacity of this model is 2179 cc.
